Barrier Restore
60 mL
Skin responds when supported
Before We Talk About This Product
Think of a woven basket.
Its strength doesn't come from a single strand. It comes from every fibre working together — each one supporting the next, the whole structure holding because nothing is asked to work alone.
The skin barrier works much the same way.
It isn't one ingredient or one layer that keeps skin comfortable. It's a system — moisture, lipids and the skin's own protective functions working together in careful balance. When that balance is supported, skin holds onto moisture, resists irritation and feels settled without effort.
Barrier Restore was created to support it.
Not by replacing what healthy skin already does, but by helping it hold onto what it already has.
Why We Made This
A moisturiser can make the skin feel better for a little while. But if the skin barrier isn't supported, that feeling often doesn't last.
Barrier Restore was formulated to work differently. Rather than simply sitting on the surface, it supports the skin's ability to retain moisture — working with the barrier rather than around it.
Applied as the final step in the routine, it helps hold onto the hydration delivered by Hydrate Serum while supporting the skin's natural barrier. The result isn't just skin that feels moisturised after application. It's skin that stays comfortable for longer.
The products in the NUA Ritual were designed to work together. Each step prepares the skin for the next, allowing every product to do its job more effectively.
Barrier Restore is where that ritual comes together.
It is the final step — helping the skin hold onto everything that came before.
Who It's For
For skin that feels dry or tight despite regular moisturising.
For skin that loses its comfortable feeling within hours of applying product.
For skin that has become sensitised and needs a gentle, reliable final step.
For skin that is settling after a period of disruption — from actives, from weather, from change.
For anyone who wants a moisturiser that supports the skin rather than simply sitting on top of it.
What This Product Helps Support
Supports the skin barrier. Barrier Restore works with the skin's natural barrier function, helping it retain moisture rather than simply adding it to the surface.
Seals in what came before. Applied after Hydrate Serum, it holds the hydration delivered by the serum in place — so the work of the previous steps isn't lost.
Leaves the skin feeling comfortable throughout the day. Not just immediately after application — but hours later, when the difference between surface moisture and genuine barrier support becomes clear.
Suits daily use. Morning and evening, as the final step in the routine.
Works best on slightly damp skin. Applied while the skin still retains a little moisture from Rebalance Mist or Hydrate Serum, it absorbs more comfortably and holds more effectively.
Why We Chose These Ingredients
Hyaluronic Acid — Chosen because barrier support begins with hydration. Hyaluronic Acid helps the skin hold onto moisture, working beneath the surface to support the skin's own moisture-holding capacity. In Barrier Restore, it works alongside the oils and emollients to support hydration from within and without.
Jojoba Oil (Organic) — Chosen because the skin barrier needs oils as much as it needs water. Jojoba Oil is structurally similar to the skin's own sebum, which means it absorbs readily and supports the barrier without feeling heavy or occlusive. It contributes to the comfortable, settled feeling the moisturiser leaves behind.
Sweet Almond Oil — Chosen to complement Jojoba Oil in supporting the skin's surface. Lightweight and well-tolerated, Sweet Almond Oil contributes to the overall texture of the formula — present not as a hero ingredient, but as part of a considered whole.
Green Tea — Chosen for its calming, antioxidant qualities. Green Tea contributes a settling character to the formula that is particularly useful for skin that has been exposed to environmental stress or is in a more reactive state.
How To Use
Apply to face and neck as your final step.
Use morning and evening.
Layer over serum while the skin is still slightly damp — this allows the moisturiser to absorb more comfortably and hold more effectively. There is no need to rub in vigorously; press gently and allow it to settle.
In the morning, follow with sunscreen. Barrier Restore is the last skincare step before sun protection.
The NUA Ritual
Cleanse — Calm Cleanse or Pure Gel Cleanse removes what doesn't belong without disturbing what does.
Mist — Rebalance Mist prepares the skin to receive what follows.
Hydrate — Hydrate Serum supports hydration beneath the surface, where the skin needs it most.
Restore — Barrier Restore brings everything together, supporting the skin barrier and holding in what came before. This is where you are now.
The routine ends here. Everything that came before — the cleanse, the mist, the serum — is held in place by this final step. The skin is settled, supported, and ready for the day or the night ahead.

Understanding a Compromised Skin Barrier
If your skin feels persistently dry, reactive, or uncomfortable despite a regular routine, this article explains why the barrier may be the place to start. It's the most direct explanation of what Barrier Restore was made to address.
Questions People Quietly Ask
How is this different from a regular moisturiser?
Most moisturisers are designed to add moisture to the surface. Barrier Restore is designed to support the skin's ability to hold onto moisture — working with the barrier rather than simply coating it. The difference becomes clear over time, as the skin stays comfortable for longer rather than needing constant reapplication.
Do I need both the serum and the moisturiser?
They do different things. Hydrate Serum supports hydration beneath the surface. Barrier Restore supports the barrier above it, sealing in what the serum delivered. Together they do more than either does separately. But if you prefer a simpler routine, Barrier Restore works on its own as a single hydrating and barrier-supporting step.
Will it feel heavy?
No. Barrier Restore was designed to leave the skin feeling comfortable rather than coated. It supports the skin barrier without a heavy or greasy finish.
My skin is oily. Do I need a moisturiser?
Yes. Oily skin still needs barrier support. When the skin barrier is compromised, it can produce more oil to compensate — which means supporting the barrier can sometimes help oily skin find a more comfortable balance over time.
Where does it sit in my routine?
Last. Always last — before sunscreen in the morning. Everything else comes before it.
Can I use it with active ingredients?
Yes. Barrier Restore is well suited to routines that include actives. Supporting the barrier is particularly important when actives are in regular use, as they can sometimes affect the skin's barrier function over time.
